Excellent Customer ServiceKAT Automotive was established as a family venture, hence the name! We saw there was a need for an Experienced, Honest and Affordable Automotive Repair shop in the area. With Kevin's certifications and knowledge we knew we could offer the type of shop that we would want to go to. Customers are the lifeblood of our business, and we want to ensure that all our customers are served with a smile and treated with respect. Our goal is to get you back on the road safely and as soon as possible, all while offering competitive door and product rates.

Experienced MechanicKevin is of one of the highest educated mechanics in the area, with 30+ years experience working in the Automotive repair industry. Kevin started his experience working in independent shops in 1992, eventually moving on to a Dealership where he very quickly educated himself to achieving his Master Technician status at a Ford Dealership. Thru his years & experience in industry Kevin became well versed in dealing with Gas, Hybrid and Diesel powered vehicle repairs of all different makes and models. In 2012 Kevin made the move from Working in Industry as a Mechanic to Working in Education, where he worked as an Instructor AT SAIT ( Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) Specializing in Instructing the 4TH Term (Year) of the Apprentice Automotive Service Technician Program. This is why KAT Automotive used to mostly take customers on weeknights & weekends. However after the COVID Pandemic Hit and Kevin was not Teaching or seeing Students it became Clear that the Need was there for a Trusted Automotive Shop in our Area on a more Full Time Basis, So Kevin took a Year Leave from SAIT and we adjusted our hours to coincide with Regular Shop hours and took in New Customers We were Fortunate to find out that the Demand was there for the Shop to be open on a regular basis. So Kevin Left SAIT to better look after our Loyal KAT Kustomers. We know that our customers work hard for their money and so we strive to keep our customers updated and involved in their vehicles repairs, we do this by ensuring that we communicate what repairs are imminent and mandatory due to safety, and what repairs can be budgeted for and completed at a later date. Before we begin work on any vehicle, we have comprehensive consultations with our customers to ensure they have an understanding of the job and costs at hand.
March 17 2023 we began building Our new building that is an addition to our original shop and we now have 5 Bays with currently 4 but we are adding an additional Hoist in the near future. We also added a Waiting area and office in the front with a Service Advisor. |
